Zhang Ziyi

Zhang Ziyi, a mainland Chinese actress, singer, film producer, and director, was born on February 9, 1979, in Beijing. She began studying dance at a young age and entered the Central Academy of Drama's Drama Performance Department in 1996. During her studies, she gained fame for her role in Zhang Yimou's film "The Road Home" (1999) and later became internationally renowned for her role in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (2000).
